unicorn 3rd build WIP!

i am far too lazy to post the pictures prior to the picture you’re about to see below. i figured, they all lead to a completed frame anyway, so why not just put the completed frame. so here goes…

yes, he’s staring at you…

bring it on! -_- bleh

this is what i’ve done so far regarding water slide decals.

also, did anyone ever bother to read what it says above “FULL PSYCHO FRAME”

it’s gibberish! my macrolens proves it!

    • lawl! i will have eventually have 4 [sorta], i have 3 now.

the one to the very right is all trashed due to careless handling and lack of MG building experience [it was my 3rd in total at the time] so it will be used as part of a kshatriya pseudo diorama. i plan on getting the Vicious Projects Kshatriya conversion for Gyan whenever it comes out post July or if i have a job before then, i’m definitely getting NeoGrade’s full kit resin, well either of the two i will have him holding Unicorn by its head with the left hand, one of the binder arms to the left breaking the piece off the horn [it’s actually broken at the tip since i sharpened it] and the right arm about to stab him. can you imagine how badass that would look?!

as for the 3rd Unicorn [the current WIP obviously] i will have him against the Banshee [which will be the OVA Version converted] but before doing so i might invest in some resin mixing solutions to recast the new head, banagher pilot, v-fins/antenna and leg armor instead of using it as templates to cut the existing leg plates to the Ver. Kas, but who knows.

Yeah seen the [a href=”http://noboru78.egloos.com/3559983″]NeoGrade Kshatriya[/a] and it looks awesome, you have experience in resin casts?

    • actually no i do not. well, experience in which, casting or dealing with resin in regards to building.

well, whatever the case i have experience in neither but i’m confident enough that i’d be able to clean and sand properly.

i’m looking for a nice challenge right now. MGs don’t do that for me anymore but i’m sure airbrushing will change that but i don’t want to invest in it yet, i’d like to try out tamiya spray cans on a few kits.

it’s sorta why i came to the decision to get a resin conversion/full kit whenever i can afford it.

you’re probably going, $150-$200 on a resin can easily buy you an airbrush kit, but my logic is what am i going to use it on after i buy it? XD at least putting $150 on a resin kit i have something tangible to build hehe.

what about you? have you done resins? [both casting and building]

      • Nah no scratch builds yet.. Though if I’m gonna I’ll prolly make it out of styrene sheets and putty.

Only on my 4th gunpla and I’m taking it a step at a time.. Is using new techniques every build, started out with only panel lines and topcoat, then weathering on the second kit. After that came in the battle damage and on the 4th one I tried to fully paint the armors and take care of the seamlines.

      • wow… i wish i had a plan haha. i sort of just learn on the fly and incorporate new techniques whenever they come out of necessity/accidents [i don’t like this second one much hehe]

that’s good man. keep it up.
